To say that Larissa James-LaBranche has kept herself busy to this point in her life would be an understatement. The graduating honors scholar student has kept that level of involvement throughout her post-secondary education at Penn State DuBois, including as a member of the college softball team, a tutor at the center for undergraduate excellence (The CUE) and as the president of the business society.
Students, faculty, staff, friends, family and members of the community all gathered at the PAW Center, on the campus of Penn State DuBois, to recognize the academic achievements, involvement in clubs, organizations, leadership initiatives, and intercollegiate athletics at the annual Recognition and Awards Banquet.
Investing in student success has always been a priority at Penn State DuBois, not only for the faculty and staff at the campus, but also for the greater community. That sentiment was fully on display on Wednesday when students and donors alike gathered at the DuBois Country Club for the annual scholarship luncheon.
Lukas Salvo started his educational journey at Penn State DuBois as a business major. He quickly realized it wasn’t what his passion truly was, and found the perfect solution in the human development and family studies major, while also being a baseball student athlete and an Honors Scholar.

Penn State DuBois has announced the campus dean’s list for the fall 2022 semester. In recognition of academic excellence, students who maintain a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher are named to the dean's list each semester.
